SUSTAINABLE FABRICS

GOTS ORGANIC COTTON

Our cotton is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified, meaning it is ecologically harvested and manufacturing is environmentally and socially responsible.
Organic farmers use natural methods to grow cotton, not fossil-fuel based fertilisers.  By working with nature, using natural farming methods like crop rotation to control pests and diseases and building healthy soils which store carbon and water, organic cotton uses less resources and has a less harmful impact on the environment.
Growing other crops alongside cotton fields to maintain a balanced system on their farms, farming communities have a more stable and diverse food supply and better ecosystems are developed for wildlife to flourish.

A FEW FACTS
Organic Cotton uses 90% less water and is 80% rainwater fed
45% less CO2 is created then conventional cotton
62% less energy is used in growth and production

ORGANIC COTTON & LINEN

Linen is one of the oldest fibers known, dating back to 8000BC

Linen is made from the flax plant which requires very little water to grow, just rainwater and humidity. It is fast growing taking 100 days compared to 150-180 days for cotton.

Only 6.4 liters of water are needed to produce a linen shirt, compared with 2700 litres for non-organic cotton.

Naturally strong, it has a longer lifespan than cotton

LENZING™ ECOVERO™

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are obtained from certified, renewable wood sources in an ecologically responsible production process in compliance with high environmental standards. Thus, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers contribute to a sustainable lifestyle and a clean environment.

A FEW FACTS

ECOVERO natural and renewable raw material wood comes from FSC® or PEFC™ certified and sustainably managed forests.

50% less water is used producing ECOVERO fibres than generic viscose. In addition to maintaining a highly efficient usage rate, they clean up the water they use before returning it to nature.

50% Lower CO2 emissions from ECOVERO Viscose fibres than generic viscose.
